Working in Japanese Public Schools
To help you better understand (or learn for the first time) the daily dynamics of life in Japan as an ALT. .
Listening
To provide ALTs with a theoretical foundation for teaching listening that will lead to practical improvements in planning lessons and teaching English.
Speaking
To provide ALTs with a theoretical foundation for teaching speaking that will lead to practical improvements in planning lessons and teaching English.
Team Teaching
This course is designed to help both JTEs and ALTs recognize and develop relationships for lesson planning, materials creation, teaching, and reflections.
Teaching CLIL
To detail ways to successfully integrate Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) into your lesson planning and classroom practices.
Vocabulary
To come to better appreciate what is involved in the teaching and learning of lots of English words for young and teenage Japanese learners.
Teaching Special Needs
To introduce the policies and procedures of Special Education in the Japanese School System and for ALTs to understand and promote their unique role.
Getting Published
You will learn about types of academic writing you can do, different types of publications and their status, finding the right journal for you, and how the publishing process works.
